The 22-year-old died at the scene, Connecticut state troopers say.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A man died after the motorcycle he was riding on was involved in a three-vehicle crash and he was thrown, then hit by another vehicle that fled the scene on I-91 South Saturday morning, state troopers said.

Marcellino Phillip Anthony, 22, of Northford, was riding on I-91 north about three tenths of a mile north of exit 13.

Preliminary investigation states that a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Naugatuck man was in the right lane when it was struck "from the rear" by the motorcyclist, state police said. Anthony was then separated from his motorcycle on to the roadway, then subsequently struck near Exit 13 at around 2 a.m. by an unidentified vehicle that left the scene.
