New Wallingford Bus Route, Changes Announced By CTtransit
CTtransit has implemented several changes to bus services in Wallingford and surrounding areas – including the newly launched Route 567.
WALLINGFORD, CT — CTtransit this week implemented several changes to bus services in Wallingford and the surrounding areas – including the newly launched Route 567, according to Wallingford Mayor Vincent Cervoni.
CTtransit created Route 567 to provide local service between downtown Meriden and the Wallingford Railroad Station via Research Parkway, according to Cervoni.
CTtransit is a public transportation bus system that serves numerous communities in the state, including Wallingford.

“Route 567, operating hourly all day, seven days per week, provides additional service to destinations along Research Parkway currently served by Route 566, and also introduces new destinations,” Cervoni wrote in a news release. “These new stops include: USPS Wallingford Sort Center, Amazon BDL5 Fulfillment Center, Connecticut Foodshare, and more.
“This offers bus riders opportunity to explore new areas in the Meriden and Wallingford regions.”

Route 567 will connect at Meriden Transit Center with CTtransit local and express bus service, River Valley Transit service to Middletown, and the CTrail Hartford Line.
“At Wallingford Railroad Station, the schedule for Route 567 is timed to meet Route 215 to enable quick and easy connections for customers traveling through Wallingford and to North Haven and New Haven,” according to the news release. “Connections are also available with Wallingford local buses and the CTrail Hartford Line. On the existing Route 215, several weekday and Saturday trips have been adjusted to provide connections at Wallingford Railroad Station with the new Route 567.
“Additionally, Route 215 service to Meriden has been added on Sundays. Buses will depart downtown New Haven every 90 minutes from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and travel the entire route to Meriden. Return trips will depart Meriden Transit Center every 90 minutes from 8:05 a.m. to 6:35 p.m.”
