Obituary: Bernice Rose (Grondzik) Pietras, 97, of Wallingford
Bernice worked at Stanley Judd Co. for many years and was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Bernice Rose (Grondzik) Pietras, 97, of Wallingford, died Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Regency House. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Pietras.
She was born in Meriden, July 29, 1924, a daughter of the late Stanley and Caroline (Oblon) Grondzik and had been employed by the Stanley Judd Co. for many years. Bernice was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church in Wallingford and loved to polka dance, play bingo and crochet.
She is survived by her children, John Pietras and his wife Joan of Virginia, Carol (Mrs. Tim) Reardon of South Carolina, Thomas Pietras and his wife Mariola of Poland, and Donna Kearney and her husband Cliff of Virginia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Grondzik, Matthew Grondzik, Gladys Germain and Stanley Grondzik.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Sunday, Sept. 12th from 4 to 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 am directly at SS. Peter & Paul Church.
Interment will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Wallingford.
