Obituary: Dominic J. Castlevetro, 85, of Wallingford
Dominic, a dedicated family man, worked as a truck driver for Stop & Shop for 20 years and was a member of Teamster 443 for 40 years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Dominic J. Castlevetro, 85, of Wallingford, formerly of Northford, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Laura (Kulenski) Castlevetro for 62 years. He was born February 25, 1936 in New Haven, CT; a son of the late Dominic and Madeline (Longobardi) Castlevetro.
Dominic worked as a truck driver for Stop and Shop for 20 years and was a member of Teamster 443 for 40 years. When he wasn’t on the road, he spent all possible moments making cherished memories with his family.
You could typically find him wearing Boston Red Sox gear, cheering his team on as their number one fan.
Dominic loved camping with the whole family. He also liked traveling the country in their RV, especially heading south to Florida with Laura to take in the sunshine during the cold, New England winters.
Dominic always put his family first and enjoyed talking and sharing stories with everyone. He was an incredible man, and our hearts are broken without him.
In addition to his loving wife Laura, he is survived by his daughters Michele Castlevetro and her husband Joseph, Cheryl Castlevetro, Karen Castlevetro-Bertini and her husband Robert, Lori Castlevetro, Pamela Castlevetro-Masse and her husband Larry, and his son Dominic C. Castlevetro; his grandchildren Amanda Colangelo and her husband Mark, Kevin McGinley and his wife Marylou, Justin McGinley and his wife Samantha, Nicholas Barra and his significant other Alexandria, Brianna Masse, and Brandon Masse; his great-grandchildren Hailey, Adalynn, and Isabelle Colangelo and Parker Dominic McGinley; his brother Anthony Castlevetro; his sisters Mary Ann McDermott and Yolanda DeMatteo; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings Ludwig Castlevetro, Margaret Peterson, Rose Vauiso, John Castlevetro, and Madeline Sullivan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, on Sunday, October 17, from 3 to 6pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10:30am.
Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Jimmy fund (www.jimmyfund.org), or to the CT Humane Society (www.cthumane.org).
