Obituary: Dorothy Lasorso, 97, of Wallingford
Dorothy, a loving wife, mother, aunt and avid reader, worked for Howie Manufacturing during World War II.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home) Dorothy Lasorso, 97, formerly of Stratford, CT, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Quinnipiac Valley Center in Wallingford.
She was the wife of the late Michael Lasorso. Dorothy was born June 30, 1923 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Walter and Florence Wood.
She was predeceased by a brother Walter Wood and a sister Ada Wood Totora. Dorothy is survived by her son Michael Lasorso and his wife Betsy of Wallingford. She is also survived by one nephew, Ronald Totora of Oneonta, New York.

During World War II she was proud to be employed by Howie Manufacturing making buckles, buttons, and various gadgets for military uses.
In the last period of her life Dorothy was a shut in due to medical issues. She used this time to read extensively. She would read the complete works of an author such as Agatha Christie and then quickly seek out another writer to enjoy.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Quinnipiac Valley Center of Wallingford for making Dorothy's last years more comfortable.
All services are private and at the convenience of the family. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with final arrangements.
