Obituary: Estelle (Reynolds) Gross 85, of Yalesville

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Estelle (Reynolds) Gross 85, of Yalesville, loving wife of the late Raymond A. Gross, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice.

Estelle was born in New Haven on March 2, 1936, a daughter of the late Michael and Sarah (Dunn) Reynolds.

What meant most to Estelle was spending time with her family. She loved volunteering at the Wallingford Senior Center and spending time with friends and enjoying all the activities, bus trips and shows.

She was on a relay for life team and enjoyed participating in fundraising for the American Cancer Society.

Estelle is survived by her children, Lori A. (Warren) Anderson of North Haven, Michael R. Gross of Meriden and Scott B. (Kimberly) Gross of Higganum; her grandchildren Brian, Katherine and Dylan Gross, and Audrey Nielsen; her niece, Sally (Richard) St. Pierre; and her great-niece, Michelle (Ben).

She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Fitzpatrick and Dorothy Valentine and her niece, Judy Valentine.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Connecticut Hospice for the compassionate and attentive care they provided to Estelle and her family.

Estelle's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Friday, January 14, 2022 from 9 am until 10:30 am, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Masks must be worn at all services. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Wallingford Senior Center, 238 Washington Street, Wallingford, CT. 06492.
