Obituary: Harry Donald Berry, 89, formerly of Wallingford
Harry was a devoted family man, avid sports fan, proud U.S. Army veteran and worked many years for Pratt & Whitney in North Haven.

MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Harry Donald Berry, 89, of Middletown, formerly of Wallingford, husband of the late Frances (Greco) Berry, passed away October 19, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Harry was born in Cambridge, MA on June 23, 1932, a son of the late Ralph E. and Margaret (Okaomitis) Berry.
Harry served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954 in the 25th Infantry Division. He loved his Yankees, Giants, and UCONN Women's Basketball teams.
He retired from Pratt & Whitney in North Haven. Harry loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren. Later in life he was proud to own a red Ford Mustang.
Harry is survived by his sons, Richard Smeriglio and his wife, Bernadette, of Raleigh, NC, Edward Smeriglio and his wife, Cheri, of Wallingford and Christopher Berry and his wife, Kristin, of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Richie, Nicole, Ben, Jackie and Jessie; and his companion, Lori Shamock.
Services and burial in St. John Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
