Obituary: John F. “Jack” Riccio, 78, of Wallingford

Jack, a loving family man and avid golfer, proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from Lucent Technologies after many years of service.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) John F. “Jack” Riccio, 78, of Wallingford, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth A. “Betsy” (Denya) Riccio.

Jack was born in Meriden, March 13, 1943, a son of the late John and Minnie (Malavasi) Riccio and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Lucent Technologies. Jack loved to play golf and enjoyed taking care of his garden and yard. He was a huge fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, and UConn Basketball.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Baker and her husband Kevin; his son, Paul J. Riccio; and his grandchildren, Haley Baker and Alyssa Riccio. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Riccio; and his twin sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Frank Adams.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 30th, at 10am at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
