Obituary: Juanita (Donaldson) Aldrich, 88, of Wallingford

Juanita, an avid crocheter, was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Wallingford Senior Center Knitters and Crocheters.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Juanita (Donaldson) Aldrich, 88, of Wallingford, wife of the late Virgil Aldrich, passed away December 24, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

She was born in Northport, Alabama on June 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Percy and Lucile (Rosser) Donaldson.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Wallingford Senior Center Knitters and Crocheters.

She loved to spend time with her family.

She spent many hours crocheting and making items for different charities, her children and grandchildren.

She made beautifully crocheted Afghans and quilts that are cherished by all.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Aldrich and his wife, Diane Behler, of South Windsor and John Aldrich and his wife, Filomena Zarra, of Wallingford; her daughter, Rebecca Aldrich of Wallingford; her sister, Sadie Tidwell; her grandchildren, Danielle, Andrew, Matthew and Anna; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, David Aldrich and her sister, Eloise Dunkling.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 directly at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext.
