Obituary: Lucillia Jones-Willson, 65, of Wallingford

Lucillia, a Florida State alum known for her bubbly and generous demeanor, was a karate enthusiast and owner and operator of Sojourn Inc.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Lucillia Jones-Willson, 65, of Wallingford passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home.

Lucy was born in Oviedo, Florida, a daughter of the late Herman Jones Sr. and Cynthia Watts. Lucillia earned her Master’s in Psychology from Florida St. University and her Bachelor in business from Jamestown Business College.

She later went on to found her own company, Sojourn Inc., a home healthcare agency specializing in care of people with brain injuries.

Lucy as her friends and family called her loved life, she had a bubbly personality, was generous and was always on the go.

Anyone that knew her knew she really loved her cat Cesar.

She competed in karate tournaments, and her shining karate moment was when she won first place in 3 different events in the same day. Lucy was a gun enthusiast and liked to shoot at the range.

She started to dibble and dabble in the stock market and ended up having a knack for it and finding success.

Lucy is survived by her son Frederick Wilson and his wife Kristian of Merrillville, IN; her grandchildren Fanisha and Kyler Wilson; her great granddaughter Alexis; her sisters Shirley Brown and Winifred Jones; and her brothers Herman Jones and Cornelius Harris.

She was predeceased by her son Jonathan Wilson.
