Obituary: Madeline A. Leining, 73, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Madeline A. Leining, of Wallingford, entered into rest on February 12, 2021 at her home.

She was the wife of John Leining. Also survived by her brother-in-law James Copeland. A daughter of the late Austin and Phyllis Russo Giamattei, she was born in New Haven on August 2, 1947.

In addition to her parents, Madeline is predeceased by her son Michael Sorcinelli, her sister Lois Giamattei (Copeland) and many other family members.

She was formerly employed at the Wallingford Family YMCA.

Visitation will take place on WEDNESDAY morning February 17 from 10:15 to 11 am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green.

A prayer service will begin at 11 o’clock, followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required throughout the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association.
