Obituary: Mark F. Grazioso, 53, Of Wallingford

Mark, an avid saltwater fisherman and devoted family man, owned and operated MFG Electric for many years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Mark F. Grazioso, 53, of Wallingford, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 24, 2021 after a short courageous battle with cancer.

At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loving family. Mark was the beloved husband of 29 years to Pamela (Antonelli) Grazioso.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Eric, Christopher and Maggie Grazioso.

Mark was born in New Haven on January 24, 1968, the son of Catello “Cal” and Delores “Dee” (Carangelo) Grazioso of Wallingford.

He is also survived by his brother, Alan Grazioso and his wife, Patricia Alvarado Núñez of Arlington, MA; in-laws, MaryBeth and Bob Massaro, David and Angela Antonelli, Brian and Amanda Antonelli, and Virginia Antonelli.

Mark will be dearly missed by all, including several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Sandra Antonelli, and brother-in-law, Christopher Antonelli.

Mark was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Eli Whitney Technical School. After completing his electrical apprenticeship, he founded MFG Electric in 1994.

Mark was completely devoted to his family. His children were his greatest gift. He spent quality time with them creating experiences that will last a lifetime.

Mark was their biggest supporter and loved them fiercely. He loved hard. Worked hard. Played hard. Everything Mark did was with passion. Mark was a self-taught guitar player and was always looking to perfect Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo “Eruption.”

Mark was an avid saltwater fisherman, finding peace and contentment aboard his boat, the Hot Pepper.

In 2009, he received his Captain’s license from the US. Coast Guard in Boston. Mark especially loved fishing off the waters off Montauk, Block Island, and Martha’s Vineyard and inspired many to love and respect the seas.

His family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4 pm until 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 10 am directly at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road in Wallingford.

Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
