Obituary: Nancy C. Case, 79, of Wallingford

Nancy, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, enjoyed the casino, family trips, the beach, music, animals and the Yankees.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Nancy C. Case, 79, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully with her loving husband Wilbur “Bill” Case of 46 special years on, November 1, 2021, after a brief illness.

Nancy was born October 7, 1942, a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Boynton) Sypek and was a 1960 graduate of Cheshire H.S.

Nancy began her career at Stop & Shop and then went to work many years at Corametrics. She ended her career in 2014 having retired from Specialty Cable Corp. where she wore many hats. She loved to eat out, her favorite meal being Maine Lobster which she enjoyed many trips to her and Bill’s vacation home in Old Orchard Beach, ME.

She enjoyed walks on the beach, trips to the casino, country music, taking car rides and was an avid NY Yankees fan who loved and cared for animals.

In addition to her husband Bill, Nancy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John “Jay” and Sue Pollard; her grandsons, Avery and Travis Pollard; her in-laws, Linda (Joe), Kim (Jeff) and Tom (Robyn); her niece, Amanda; her nephews, Chris and Thomas; many cousins; and she was loved by many including her dear friends, Elenor, Sandy and David.

She was predeceased by her brother, Edward “Butch” Sypek; her uncle, Hod; her aunts, Dot and Helen; and her best friend, Effie.

Her family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Giosa for the excellent care he provided.

Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends in on Sunday, November 7th, from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 4 pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 am at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford.

Nancy would want attendees to wear casual attire. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the American Lung Association, CT Chapter, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
