Obituary: Rodney I. Loomis, 82, of Yalesville

Rodney, a devoted family man, was heavily involved in the community and a self-employed business owner of Sevi Inc. of Wallingford.

YALESVILLE, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Rodney I. Loomis, of the Yalesville section of Wallingford, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, December 20, 2021

Rodney was born in Meriden on, October 31, 1939, a son of the late Frederick and Helen (Ives) Loomis.

He is survived by his wife Ruth and his children; William Loomis and his wife Jane of Richmond, RI, Michele Loomis-Tingley and her husband Ken of Hebron, Frederick Loomis and Valerie Solli of Milford, and David Loomis and his wife Melissa of Wallingford; three stepchildren, Marilyn Wrubel and her husband Michael of Manchester, James Mancano and his wife Amy of Burleson, TX, Daniel Mancano and his wife Anja of Redmond, WA. and several grandchildren nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Justine Loomis and his brother Frederick H. Loomis.

Rodney worked in sales for Service One for 15 years and he was a self-employed business owner of Sevi Inc. of Wallingford.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing softball and going bowling. He was a past member of the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce.

All funeral services and interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden are private per Rodney’s wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wallingford Funeral Home.
