Obituary: William V. Reichelt, 91, of Wallingford
William, an avid golfer and runner, worked many years in electrical engineering and served proudly in the Merchant Marines.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) William V. Reichelt, 91, of Wallingford, loving husband of the late Coralee A. Reichelt, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away with his family at his side on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden.
Born in Bronx, NY, October 6, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Alvera Reichelt.
He is survived by his, sons William and wife Shannon, Robert and wife Katrina, James and wife Stacy, and John; a daughter in law Elenna; 11 grandchildren, Angela, William, David, Christopher, Mila, Cori, Alexandra, Melaney, Jake, Samuel, and Aleksander; 1 great grandson Leo and numerous other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his son David.
William served in the Merchant Marines, having served in the Korean War. He earned a degree in electrical engineering and worked 45 years for several utility companies and retired from Northeast Utilities in 1986.
William had a variety of interests. He was an avid runner participating in the New York City marathon twice and the Marine marathon once. He enjoyed a walk on the golf course and feeding the turtles.
Funeral Services and, interment in St. John Cemetery Wallingford will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the Church of the Resurrection 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT. 06492.
