Semrau Out at Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce

The vice president and chief operating officer has reportedly lost her job due to budget cuts at the Chamber.

 

Budget cuts have apparently cost the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce vice president and chief operating officer her job.

Cindy Semrau confirmed on social media sites that she is no longer with the Chamber, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

Semrau posted the following on her Facebook page:

"After 27 years of dedication and loyalty to the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce my position was eliminated on February 7th due to budgetary cuts," she wrote on Facebook. "I value and cherish all the friends and colleagues I've met over the years. Many relationships were formed and I will never forget any of them."

Many quickly expressed shock and sadness at her departure from the job she has held since 1986.
