Wallingford Hires North Branford Principal As Assistant Superintendent

Earlier this week, the Wallingford Board of Education unanimously appointed Shawn Parkhurst as the district’s next assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

The Record-Journal reports that Parkhurst is currently the principal of North Branford’s Jerome Harrison Elementary School, a position he’s held since 2007. He will begin in Wallingford on July 29.

“We were very impressed with Shawn’s candidacy,” Wallingford Superintendent Salvatore Menzo told the newspaper. “Shawn was able to interview with a variety of groups ... We’re very excited to have him as part of the team.”
