Wallingford Man Threatens to 'Kill Cops,': Middletown Police
The 38-year-old man allegedly threatened a woman with a gun and failed a field sobriety test.

On Thursday, Dec. 10, Middletown Police Officer Alex Foster was dispatched to 50 Stoneycrest Drive, after receiving a complaint from a woman who alleged a Wallingford man threatened her with a gun.
The victim reportedly said Justin Molinaro, 38, of 232 Brentwood Court, Wallingford, gestured toward his waist band and said “I got a gun.”
“The victim stated that at no time did she see a gun, but reported hearing him yell that statement,” Foster said in a police report.

When Foster arrived on scene, he saw Molinaro’s black Mercedes driving east on Stoneycrest Drive. He saw how the rear market plate was reportedly obstructed.
Foster said the Mercedes stopped and he approached the car and detained Molinaro, “due to the fact that a gun was referenced in the 911 call.”

“As I was speaking to Molinaro, I could smell the strong presence of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and person,” Foster said in the report. “Molinaro had a hard time standing on his own and had to be held upwards at times.”
Moliaro reportedly agreed to a field sobriety test. Foster said he only performed a nystagmus test and allegedly refused other tests.
Because of this, Foster said Molinaro failed the field sobriety test and was transported to the Middletown Police Department.
According to Foster, Molinaro began to smash his head against the cage in the police car and when brought into the booking room, allegedly threatened to “kill cops.”
When read his notice of rights, police said Molinaro refused to sign the form and continued to “I want my lawyer.”
He was arrested on the following charges:
- Failure to display plates
- Operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence (second offense)
- Failure to submit to fingerprinting
- Interfering with an officer/resisting arrest
- Breach of peace
- Threatening
Molinaro was held on $10,000 bond and issued a Dec. 11 court date.
