Wallingford Teen Arrested For $7k Vandalism Spree
Police: Wallingford's Patrick Legrand and three other teenagers went around Wallingford in December and January shooting BB guns and slinging marbles at cars and businesses.

A Wallingford 18-year-old turned himself in last week for allegedly vandalizing more than 20 locations in Wallingford with BB guns and slingshots in December and January.
On Wednesday of last week, Patrick Legrand, 18, turned himself in and was charged with 13 counts of second-degree criminal mischief, 13 counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief, 11 counts of third-degree criminal mischief, 11 counts of conspiracy to commit third-degree criminal mischief, one count of reckless endangerment and weapons in a motor vehicle, according to The Record Journal.
The arrest stems from a vandalism spree in December and January with three other teenagers, where the group allegedly went around and shot BB guns and marbles via slingshots at cars and businesses around Wallingford, according to The Record Journal. Overall, the foursome caused $7,211 in damage, according to The Journal.
Legrand told police in February that he participated because he "wanted to get all of this behind him because he planned on enlisting in the military,” according to The Record Journal. Along with Legrand, North Haven's Kyle Scalzo, 19, and Joshua Nettleton, 19, and an unidentified juvenile were arrested, according to The Journal.
