Wallingford Welcomes New Emergency Shelter
This is the second shelter to have been built in the town within a two-year time period.

Wallingford now has a new emergency shelter with additional space to house families in transition and need of a place to stay, the New Haven Register reported. The shelter’s board, town officials and more celebrated the opening of Fred Ulbrich Jr. Family Center Wednesday.
The two-family home is next to the Martin B. Rubin Family Center, which opened in May 2012 and is similar to the new facility.
Families who stay in the facility are limited to a four-month stay because it is intended as a temporary solution to help families get back on their feet, the Register reported.
