The shelter's board, town officials and more celebrated the opening of Fred Ulbrich Jr. Family Center Wednesday. The two-family home is next to the Martin B. Rubin Family Center, which opened in May 2012 and is similar to the new facility. Families who stay in the facility are limited to a four-month stay because it is intended as a temporary solution to help families get back on their feet, the Register reported. Gaylord Specialty Healthcare made donations to benefit the facility for things like mattresses and furniture important for living spaces, the Register reported.
