Wallingford's Hinala Amin Earns $1k Scholarship From Hospital Auxiliaries

Recently, Wallingford's Hinala Amin earned a $1,000 scholarship from two hospital auxiliaries to help her pursue a career in healthcare.

This year, the Auxiliary of the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Auxiliary member Lorraine Cronin and the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary provided seven $1,000 scholarships to high school students and one to a college student pursuing healthcare careers. Wallingford's Hinala Amin, a student at Wallingford's Lyman Hall High School, was one of the seven high school students chosen.

The scholarship awards were based on scholastic achievement, financial need, community and school involvement and a personal statement from applicants explaining the scholarship's importance to them, according to a press release from the auxiliaries.
