Water Flushing Continues This Week in Wallingford, and Here's Where
Town officials advise residents to check their water before using because flushing can result in discoloration and changes in pressure.

From the town's Water Division:
The Water Division is continuing its annual water main flushing program during August and September.
This week, the following areas will be flushed:
All streets WEST of South Elm Street, SOUTH of Center Street/Hall Avenue, and EAST of Jones Road/South Turnpike Road, including:
- South Main Street,
- South Whittlesey Avenue,
- South Orchard Street,
- South Colony Road,
- Ward Street,
- Quinnipiac Street,
- South Cherry Street,
- Bull Avenue,
- River Road,
- Cook Hill Road,
- Mansion Road,
- Appletree Lane,
- Nod Brook Road,
- Brentwood Village,
- Spice Hill Condominiums,
- Heritage Woods Condominiums,
- Judd Square Condominiums,
- and all other streets in these areas.
Flushing will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The flushing program will remove harmless deposits of accumulated rust and sediment and is necessary in order to improve and maintain water quality.
Important: Please check the condition of the water before use, since discoloration of the water and lowered pressures may occur during the flushing.
If you have any questions about the water main flushing program, please contact the Water/Sewer Division office at 203-949-2666.
