Woman Charged In Prostitution Sting In Wallingford: Police
The woman was arrested following a months-long investigation into reports of a prostitution ring in Wallingford, according to police.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A 41-year-old Wallingford woman was arrested Tuesday on prostitution charges following a months-long investigation, according to police.
Members of the Wallingford Police Community Impact Unit conducted an investigation over the past several months into reports of prostitution occurring in town, according to police.
Police said the investigation found that the woman agreed to perform sexual acts in exchange for money.

Initially, police received numerous anonymous complaints of a prostitution ring in the 300 block of South Elm Street.
Police said officers determined the woman used a website to offer a “menu” of sexually related services to potential buyers.

Undercover officers interacted with the woman on the website and arranged for a meeting on Oct. 1, which ultimately led to her arrest, according to police.
The woman was arrested on prostitution-related crimes and was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 15.
