1,000 Waterford Homes Still Without Power Tuesday
The windy afternoon and evening of Feb. 16 resulted in power outages across Connecticut.
As of 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, more than 1,000 Waterford homes are still without power after gusty winds accompanied the rain. According to Eversource’s outage map, 1,063 homes are without power.
“We are aware of the power outages in town, and have placed calls to Eversource,” Waterford Police Department said via Facebook. Please call their outage number by clicking the link (generally your phones have enough power to read this). Our Dispatchers and Officers are very busy directing and responding to calls.”
Waterford Police cautioned drivers to be on the lookout for non-functioning traffic lights.
“Remember, it is your duty to stop all ways at an intersection before proceeding if the traffic light is not functioning,” police said.
