7 Dogs Seized in Quaker Hill Animal Cruelty Case

One dog was found to be deceased at the Mohegan Avenue Parkway residence.

A search and seizure warrant was executed at 471 Mohegan Avenue Parkway in Quaker Hill Friday, Feb. 19, relating to a suspected animal cruelty case.

According to the Waterford Police Department, members of the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control and the Waterford Police Department, working in conjunction with the State of Connecticut Animal Control, executed the warrant.

“Upon executing the warrant, officers seized seven dogs along with additional evidence,” Detective Sergeant Edward DeLaura said. “Another dog was found to be deceased. The dogs were taken to local animal shelters to be cared for as the investigation continues.”
