Fire Breaks Out In Kitchen Of Waterford Home
Firefighters extinguished the blaze Monday afternoon.
WATERFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that began in a home's kitchen Monday afternoon, according to a Facebook post from Oswegatchie Fire Company #4 Inc.
Firefighters responded at 2:39 p.m. to a structure fire on Ellen Ward Road. Smoke was showing from the home when crews arrived.
Firefighters found the fire was located in the kitchen and prevented any additional spread within 10 minutes.

Everyone in the home was able to escape safely. One cat was found in the home and is in good health.
Crews performed overhaul extinguishing hot spots and ventilation, according to fire officials.
