Man Dies From Fatal Heroin Overdose in Waterford: Police

Waterford Police were called to Gallup Lane for a possible overdose Tuesday, Feb. 16.

A 21-year-old man died from a suspected heroin overdose Tuesday, Feb. 16, Waterford Police said.

According to the Waterford Police Department, the Waterford Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from an address on Gallup Lane at approximately 5:12 p.m.

The Waterford Ambulance Service and Police Department responded to the scene.

“Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was a 21-year-old male and had suffered from a suspected fatal heroin overdose,” Lt. Stephen Bellos said in a press release “The name of the victim is being intentionally withheld in respect for the family’s privacy.”

The incident under investigation by the Waterford Police Department Patrol Division and Investigative Services.

The Waterford Police Department is participating in a regional community enhancement task force, which is dedicated to helping those who are affected by this deadly disease.
