New London County Park Makes 'Most Stunning' Botanical Gardens List

A New London County state park is considered among the country's most beautiful gardens, according to a new study.

WATERFORD, CT — If you're looking for one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the United States, you don't have to travel out of New London County. Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford made a recent list of the country's "most stunning" botanical gardens.

Pergola and pavilion designers at Pergola Kits USA, analyzed the number of Tripadvisor reviews that contained positive descriptors, such as "stunning," "beautiful," "breathtaking," and "gorgeous" across 260 botanical gardens in the US.

Each botanical garden was ranked based on the percentage of reviews containing these beauty keywords.

Harkness Memorial State Park came in fourth with 75.86% of Tripadvisor reviews referencing the beauty of this botanical garden.

The website had this to say: "Harkness Memorial State Park charms with a Renaissance mansion, which was built in 1906, beautiful gardens and scenic trails, offering historical charm and 230 acres of natural wonder to explore."
