'No Danger to the Public' As Prindiville Ave. Investigation Continues: Police
The FBI and Waterford Police responded to a Prindiville Avenue residence after receiving a report of possible hazardous materials.

The Waterford Police Department is continuing its investigation at 13 Prindiville Ave., Waterford, after they were called to the scene for a report of possible hazardous materials in the basement on Tuesday, April 12.
"Presumptive testing on several containers of material located within the residence was completed by the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection," Lt. David Burton said in a prepared statement. "This material consisted of powder and liquid. This material and its containers were seized, and samples will be forwarded to the state laboratory for further testing."
Any material identified as being hazardous was removed by a contractor service for the State of Connecticut.
"There is no danger to the public at this time," Waterford Police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Responding agencies included the Waterford Police Department, the Waterford Ambulance Service, the Town of Waterford Fire Marshall's Office, the Connecticut State Police Emergency Service Unit, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
