Person Injured When Car Strikes Tree In Waterford: Fire Officials

A person's leg was trapped under the dashboard of their car following an accident this morning near the Montville town line.

WATERFORD, CT — A person was injured in a crash in Waterford early Thursday morning, according to the Waterford Professional Firefighters Association Local 4629.

Firefighters were dispatched to Vauxhall street extension at the Montville town line for a car vs. tree accident at 8:30 a.m.

The first arriving responders reported that the patient's leg was trapped under the dashboard.

"Our firefighters worked quickly to perform a modified dash lift to free the occupant of the vehicle," fighters shared on social media.

The person was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries by Waterford Ambulance.
