The Waterford Police Department joins the New London County community in mourning the passing of Officer Madeline Guarraia.

The Waterford Police Department shared heartfelt thoughts after learning of the passing of Madeline Guarraia, who was an integral part of their police force. Madeline inspired many in her brave fight against leukemia.
"The Waterford Police Department would like to express their condolences to the family of Waterford Police Officer Madeline Guarraia, badge #8. As many of you know, Officer Guarraia was sworn in as a member of the Waterford Police Department in April of 2015. Her parents say that she carried her appointment very seriously, and we thoroughly enjoyed every time she was on duty with us.
Waterford Officers have been authorized to wear mourning bands on their badges in honor of Officer Madeline Guarraia.
Rest in Peace Madeline, we'll carry it from here."
