Waterford, like other municipalities, received only a fraction of the number of test kits originally planned for by the State of Connecticut. The Department of Public Health and the CDC have recommended prioritizing school staff and public safety employees. Some of the kits received will be set aside for that purpose.

We realize that the allotment received is not nearly enough to serve the entire community and encourage those who can purchase test kits at local stores to please do so. We also ask that those seeking kits have an immediate need such as onset of symptoms or a close contact with a positive person.

There is a one-kit limit per car without exception. The line will be cut off when supplies are gone.
