During the arrest, suspect Dylan Aguiar was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The Waterford Police Department Investigators Unit, in conjunction with the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, conducted an investigation in reference to several recent burglaries in the town of Waterford over the last several days.

"During the course of the investigation and through the cooperative efforts of both units they were able to identify a suspect, identified as being Dylan Aguiar," Waterford Police Dept. Lt. Stephen Bellos said in a written statement.

Aguiar was located the afternoon of April 5 and was arrested on two violation of probation warrants. He was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

"Through further investigation it was determined that Aguiar had committed several of the burglaries that were being investigated and subsequently the investigators were able to recover some of the stolen property," Bellos said.

Aguiar is being held at the Waterford Police Department on an $80,000 cash/surety bond and will be arraigned at GA 10 in New London Wednesday, April 6.
