Creativity Goes Statewide at Odyssey of the Mind Tournament

Odyssey of the Mind allows students as young as kindergarten age to learn creative, problem-solving skills while working toward a common goal. Each year, teams throughout Connecticut gather at a state tournament where teams compete to show they have the most creative way to solve a problem. Teams create props, write a skit or build a vehicle to accomplish multiple tasks within an eight-minute window.

From West Hartford, participating schools in the different divisions include , , , , , , , and the West Hartford Whired team.

The winning teams from the state competition advance to the World Finals, which will be held this year at the University of Maryland in late May.
