Diaper Donations Sought In West Hartford For Domestic Violence Victims

WEST HARTFORD, CT — With prices skyrocketing in all aspects of life amid the national economy, one West Hartford civic group is looking to help a demographic especially vulnerable.

The Rotary Club of West Hartford has announced a community-wide Diaper Drive to benefit Interval House of Hartford, the region’s largest agency dedicated to ending domestic violence.

The drive will run for two weeks, from Monday, Jan. 5, through Saturday, Jan. 17, collecting diapers and wipes for families in need.

Collection bins will be available at participating local businesses throughout West Hartford.

Community members are encouraged to drop off new, unopened packages of diapers and
wipes in any size.

In addition to physical donations, tax-deductible cash contributions can be made securely through the Rotary Club of West Hartford’s website at westhartfordrotary.org.

All donations will directly support Interval House’s mission to provide safety, shelter, and
support to victims of domestic violence and their children.

"By contributing to this effort, residents can help ensure that families in crisis have access to essential supplies during difficult times," wrote the West Hartford Rotary.

Currently, collection sites are slated for:

• Westfield Bank, 977 Farmington Ave., West Hartford

• NBT Bank, 68 S. Main St., West Hartford.
