WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a local Family Dollar store in West Hartford Thursday night.

The West Hartford Police Department said Friday afternoon that it is still looking for the suspect.

Police said the incident happened at about 9:44 p.m. at the Family Dollar store located at 939 New Britain Ave.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made, police said.

According to police, the suspect was described as being a heavy-set, short male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black mask, gloves, and glasses.
