Officials at the mall, located in West Hartford and Farmington, expressed confidence the space would be filled shortly thereafter.

WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — A popular store in one of the state's largest malls is closing down for good at the end of the month.
Officials at the Westfarms Mall, located in West Hartford and Farmington, confirmed to Patch this week the Hallmark gift store in the mall is closing for good, making Christmas 2024 the final holiday season for the popular retailer.
According to a representative of Hallmark Tuesday morning, the store is closing on Jan. 27 with significant sales of the store's popular line of Christmas ornaments and holiday decorations.

Westfarms spokesperson Amanda Sirica said Hallmark, however, will be missed, but the mall is a much-sought-after location for retailers.
“Hallmark has been a wonderful part of the Westfarms community,” said Sirica. “With all the retailer activity and interest in doing business at Westfarms, each location is carefully matched with new offerings for our shoppers.
"The availability of the Hallmark location will certainly help us fill this demand and we look forward to sharing more details on our newest tenant soon.”
