Several To Be Honored At West Hartford Chamber's Annual Meeting
The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting & Spotlight Awards take place Tuesday, June 24, at the Farmington Polo Club.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce recently announced the recipients of its 2025 Spotlight & Beacon Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the local business landscape and community.
Honorees were selected by the Chamber’s executive committee, community engagement committee, and staff, following nominations from Chamber members and the public.

The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting & Spotlight Awards on Tuesday, June 24, at the Farmington Polo Club in Farmington.
In addition to celebrating this year’s honorees, the event will include the election of the Chamber’s new board of directors and a review of the organization’s accomplishments over the past year.

2025 Spotlight Award Recipients:
- Entrepreneur of the Year: LaJune King – BLK STRY Studio and Photos by LJK, recognized for innovation and significant impact on the local economy and community.
- New Business of the Year: The Book Club – Heather Moran, Owner. Celebrated for immediate and positive contributions to the community since opening between April 2024 and April 2025.
- Nonprofit of the Year: Jewish Family Services. Honored for consistent dedication to improving the well-being of the community.
- Economic Driver of the Year: Westfarms Mall. Acknowledged for promoting business development, job creation, and community enhancement.
- Legacy Award: Luna Pizza – Alexander Macdonald, Owner. Recognized for more than 25 years of trusted service and community impact.
- Young Professional of the Year: Ryan Young – PeoplesBank. Commended for active involvement in the FLOW Committee and leadership among young professionals.
- Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Patrice Taffe – Westfield Bank. Honored for exceptional service and dedication to the Chamber.
- Chamber Partnership Award: Lauren Siegle – Town of West Hartford Economic Development Specialist. Celebrated for collaborative efforts that strengthen business-community ties.
2025 Beacon Award Recipients:
- Elizabeth Gustin Basil Women’s Leadership Award: Mary-Jane Foster – Interval House. Established in 2022, this award honors women making outstanding leadership contributions in West Hartford, inspired by the legacy of Elizabeth Gustin Basil, the Chamber’s first woman chairperson.
- Noah Webster Award: John Green – Lux Bond & Green. Since 1989, this prestigious award has recognized exceptional commitment and service to the Town of West Hartford and its community.
