Those who are unable to attend the meeting can email questions and comments to VisionZero@WestHartfordCT.gov.

West Hartford Community Interactive will air the meeting on their YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@whci.

A second public information meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, to share a draft of the plan and recommendations for the speed camera locations.

The meeting will be held in the Sedgwick Middle School auditorium, 128 Sedgwick Road, from 6 to 8 p.m. VHB will solicit feedback and answer questions at that meeting as well.

Electronic eyes are seen as a key component of West Hartford's Vision Zero traffic/pedestrian safety initiative.

The hope is that it will deter motorists from unsafe driving and aid police in enforcing traffic laws against those who violate the rules of the road.

Anyone requiring auxiliary aid or special services should contact Suzanne Oslander, ADA coordinator, at suzanneo@westhartfordct.gov or 860-561-7580 as soon as possible. Translation services to Spanish will be available.
