Obituary: Vincent Oliver Folet, 58; Formerly Of West Haven
Vincent, a loving father and grandfather, worked as a head chef in fine dining, while also supervising several local restaurants.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Colonial Funeral Home) Vincent Oliver Folet, 58 of New Haven, CT departed this life on February 14, 2022. Born on May 21, 1963 in Hayes, Clarendon, Jamaica WI to the late Mary Berlin and Sylvan Follett.
Vincent emigrated to the United States March,1979.
Graduating from West Haven High School, he then attended culinary school excelling as a master chef.
Vincent worked as a head chef specializing in fine dining and supervised in several New Haven restaurants. Amongst other attributes, Vincent was an entrepreneur with a passion for selling goods and helping others.
Vincent loved to cook, above all cooking for others. He enjoyed listening to music, but his favorite was reggae music.
Most importantly, Vincent was kind and dedicated father and grandfather.
He loved his family always making it his duty to reach out and stay connected.
Vincent leaves to mourn, his cherished son and daughter Vincent Cornelius (Rehema Cornelius) and Vintae’ Watts-Folet, life partner Arcenia Lopez. Grand children: Ni’yel Cornelius, Kaiden Taj Hunter and Elias Cornelius.
Brothers: Claude Thompson, Jamaica WI, Michael Sterling, New Haven, CT, Morris Follett, Toronto, Canada; and Sylvan Follett, Brooklyn, NY. Sisters: Enid Thomas, Waterbury, CT; Evette Joy Hamilton, New Haven, CT; Erica Follett, Brooklyn, NY; Arlene Follett, North Carolina.
As well as, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many close friends.
A celebration of Vincent’s life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11am at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am.
