Easton EMT Arrested for Larceny After Theft of More Than $3,000 in Town Funds: Report
The Easton EMT was terminated after an investigation revealed he purchased items and later returned them for in-store cash rewards cards.
Easton, CT — An Easton Volunteer Emergency Service EMT has been charged with first-degree larceny after turning himself in to Easton Police Headquarters on June 12 after being served a warrant for his arrest, according to The Easton Courier.
Andrew Rosenthal, 47, of 4 Eastern Lane, Milford, worked as a full-time employee for the Town of the Easton but was terminated last month after the police department was notified of discrepancies on purchases for the EMS, the paper reported.
Rosenthal is accused of purchasing over $3,000 in items then later returning the items for in-store cash rewards cards to be used at a later date, the report said.
