EASTON, CT — If you are interested in helping out the victims of Hurricane Harvey, you can do so by contributing to your local police department. Joining the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. in Shelton, police announced via Facebook Tuesday they are accepting items to deliver to those affected by the storm.

Police said Thursday the drive has been successful, but they are still seeking items.

"Donations are coming in for Hurricane Harvey Relief but we need more," the department posted Thursday. "You can drop off any new items to our police department lobby until 5pm Friday, September 8th. See our post below for a list of items needed. Thank you for all the concern you have shown! We are so proud to be a part of the Easton Community!"
