In recent weeks, our sister city, Sviatohirsk, has faced relentless overnight strikes by Russian Shahed drones targeting civilian areas. Special Russian ops groups are active in the area, using FPV drones to disrupt movement and destroy roads, while fake Shaheds are deployed to deplete Ukraine’s air defenses, which remain costly and limited. The frontline is urgently seeking electronic defense equipment and medical supplies. While many Sviatohirsk residents temporarily evacuate, most return within weeks, determined not to abandon their homes. Because the town lies near water, deep bunkers are not possible. Civilians often choose to sleep in their own beds, despite the ever-present risk of drone strikes overhead. Ukraine Aid International’s Amazon Wishlist includes essential items needed by civilians and responders in Sviatohirsk. Every purchase helps save lives and supports a community refusing to give up.

IMPORTANT Recycling note: plastic bags of any kind CANNOT BE RECYCLED. Doing so causes a large increase in Easton's recycling charge, which will lead directly to increasing taxes for residents. Please click here for items that can and cannot be recycled.
Construction has begun on the Judd Road bridge between Easton and Monroe. The work is expected to be completed by next summer. Until then, the bridge will be closed. Detours will be posted. The town of Monroe will be doing the work, but we will keep you posted. The Town of Monroe is responsible for the project.
