$2.43M For Compo Marina Repairs Under Consideration By Westport RTM
The Representative Town Meeting is scheduled to meet on March 4.

WESTPORT, CT — At its next hearing on March 4, the Westport Representative Town Meeting is scheduled to discuss a $2.43 million appropriation for renovations to the Compo Marina Piers, Fuel dock and Electrical Switchgear, according to the meeting's agenda (see below).
The funding for the repairs, which would be the subject of bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account, is being requested by the Public Works Department, and is recommended by the Board of Finance.
In another public works request, the RTM is also scheduled to discuss a $2.75 million appropriation for the replacement of the Cross Highway Culvert over Deadman Brook.

The RTM's March 4 meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium:
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the First Selectwoman and a request by the Director of Human Services, in accordance with Section 2.C. of the Town of Westport Policy For Gifts to Town, to approve the anonymous donation in the amount of $103,000 in honor of Max Harper to the Town Escrow Account to facilitate and provide scholarships for a community-based program for young men with ADHD.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $218,000 to the Sewer Reserve Account, for a 500KW Generator to replace Generator #1 at the sewage treatment plant.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $2,429,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account, for the rehabilitation of the Compo Marina Piers, Fuel dock and Electrical Switchgear.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $400,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account, for the maintenance and replacement of our existing sidewalk network.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $198,000 to the Capital and Non-recurring fund, for the purchase of one (1) F550 Highway Service Truck with dump body and spreader.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $2,750,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account, for the replacement of the Cross Highway Culvert over Deadman Brook.
