Westport Library Closed Thursday: UPDATE
Earlier on Thursday, library officials had hoped to open at 2 p.m. Update.

WESTPORT, CT — Officials from the Westport Library have decided to close the venue for the day, instead of opening at 2 p.m.
"We had hoped to open at 2 pm, but a forecast of additional precipitation and the potential for icy road conditions make a full-day closure the safest option for patrons and staff," officials said in a statement. "We hope to reopen for regular business hours tomorrow (Friday, February 7), 9 am to 6 pm."
A program scheduled for Thursday evening — 'Harriet Tubman: Military Scout and Tenacious Visionary': Author Talk With Jean Marie Wiesen and Tubman's Descendant, Rita Daniels — has been moved to a virtual event available via Zoom, starting at 7 p.m., officials said.
