Driver Injured After Tree Crashes Onto Pickup In Westport: Police

The one-vehicle crash led to the temporary closure of Easton Road Wednesday morning.

WESTPORT, CT — The driver of a pickup truck suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning after "a large tree fell and struck the vehicle" while traveling on Easton Road in Westport, according to Westport police.

Following the 6:40 a.m. crash, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle, and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of the minor injuries.

A portion of Easton Road was temporarily closed following the crash to allow crews to clear the tree and police to investigate, but the road has since been reopened, Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods told Patch.
