Electrician Tells Police He Was Robbed at Gunpoint in Westport

A man said that after being paid in cash for a job, a car cut him off at a Westport intersection, and a man with a gun robbed him.

A Norwalk man told Westport police that he was robbed of cash he had just been paid after doing some electrical work at a Bridgeport bodega, according to a report by NBC Connecticut.

The man said that he was paid in front of some customers, then started driving home. At about 5:30 p.m., at the intersection of Woodside Avenue and Kings Highway North, a blue or black Volkswagen cut him off, and a man with a silver-colored, semi-automatic pistol got out and then got in the victim’s car, the television station reported.

The suspect then fled east in his car toward Wilton Road. The suspect is described as about 5 foot, 8 inches in height, wearing dark clothes and a dark “beanie” hat. He had a scar from his mouth to his right ear.
