Froyo World Serves Up Tasty, Healthy Treats in Westport

Sharon Brockwell, a longtime Westport resident who recognizes that we live in a health conscious community where people exercise and eat well, has opened a soft serve lounge at 361 Post Road West.

Located next to and , the futuristic frozen yogurt shop offers a healthy treat for everyone, including 45 different toppings spanning from fresh blackberries, blueberries and strawberries to crumbled waffle cone and classic sprinkles. It's a self-service frozen yogurt shop with a 10 flavor rotation, so you can get as creative as you’d like. It truly is a healthy snack 'your way!'

“We are trying to cater to everyone,” said owner Sharon Brockwell. “We have something that is sugar free, dairy free, and gluten free, and they are all low in fat or no fat.”

Adding to the modern look at Froyo World are the vibrant LCD screens above each soft serve machine. The color screens display nutrition and allergen facts as well as a picture that represents the flavor.

“It’s the atmosphere, it’s the music, it’s the colors – it’s a lounge so people can come and hang out,” Brockwell said, adding that she had nearly 20 teenagers in the shop the previous night. “We like people to come and want to stay.”

Brockwell, a 1980 graduate, said she and her husband have always wanted to start a business that their four kids could get involved with.

The Brockwell's have four children who attend the Westport Public Schools and they all work and are involved in the business.
