Between its Westport and Fairfield locations, Hansen's Flower Shop has 13 vans on the road, delivering flowers from "sun up to sun down" through Mother's Day, designer "Fancy" Nancy Gardiner said.
Hansen's is still talking orders for local customers, Gardiner said Friday at the Westport location, Hansen's Floral Arts.
"We have a good selection in inventory -- we're just asking for flexibility" as Sunday approaches, Gardiner said. For example, a customer may not be able to order a multitude of sunflowers for Sunday, but a mixed bouquet is certainly doable.
This year, hydrangeas, lilies, lilacs, and peonies have been popular orders for Mother's Day flowers, Gardiner said.
Hansen's Westport location is open today until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Fairfield store is open today until 6 p.m., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
