New York Man Accused Of Shoplifting In Westport: Police

The suspect was arrested Tuesday in connection with a 2021 incident at Ulta Beauty on the Post Road East, according to authorities.

WESTPORT, CT — A 21-year-old Bronx, New York man was arrested this week by Westport police on a warrant charging him with larceny in connection with two shoplifting incidents at Ulta Beauty on the Post Road East in the summer of 2021.

Noel Guadalupe was already in custody in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday when Westport police brought him back to Connecticut.

Guadalupe was charged by Westport police with second-degree larceny, third-degree larceny and related conspiracy violations.

The 2021 incidents occurred on June 13 and July 9, in which suspects entered the cosmetics store, stole items and fled.

"Through the use of surveillance video, search warrants, and law enforcement information sharing, Noel Guadalupe was identified as a suspect in these cases," said Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods in a statement.

A warrant was obtained, which led to Guadalupe's arrest on Tuesday. He was held in lieu of bail of $100,000, and was scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday.
